Today's technological developments and social transformations also cause changes in the education system. In our education system, the first stage where students are introduced to science concepts is the preschool stage. Due to the period that preschool students are in, diversifying educational environments and using different techniques will increase the quality and effectiveness of education. With the morphological synthesis technique, students' 21st century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, observation, analytical thinking skills and problem solving skills are also supported. In order to apply the morphological synthesis technique in the education system and to increase the perception levels of science concepts of kindergarten students, a study called 'The Effect of Preschool Students' Use of the Morphological Synthesis Technique on the Classification of Living Things on Their Explanation of the Characteristics of Living Things' was initiated. 15 students in the 5-6 age group studying in a kindergarten participated in the study. In this research designed as a qualitative study, semi-structured interviews were used as the data collection method and the face-to-face interview data with the students were examined with the content analysis method. Observation forms were filled out while morphological synthesis activities were applied to the students. The activities carried out during the study were filed. The results were evaluated with the descriptive analysis method. At the end of the application, it was seen that students at an early age could gain the ability to use the morphological synthesis technique in the classification of living things. As a result, this technique can be considered as an important tool in providing students with scientific thinking and analytical skills at an early age. Integrating morphological synthesis techniques into educational programs can increase students' interest in scientific subjects and enrich their learning processes.
